Mt Herbert Shelter Temporarily Closed
Connects Packhorse Hut to Mt Herbert/Te Ahu Pātiki summit. Includes approx. 2 hours of steep or difficult terrain, and access to Mt Bradley summit on side track. Mt Herbert shelter is 15 minutes east of Mt Herbert Summit.

Walk as part of Te Ara Pātaka or from Port Levy Saddle. It is the easiest way to access highest peak on Banks Peninsula. Avoid in low cloud. Crosses private farmland so be aware of stock.
