Governors Bay Walks
Governors Bay Walks

Track closed between Sandy Beach Rd & Jetty Rd. Use alternative roadside bypass route.
Discover two sandy beaches great for swimming. Good option for families with mixed abilities. Māori Gardens is a secluded beach. Take care – track along cliff edges can be slippery and there are steep stairs near the end.
Note the track section between Sandy Beach Road and Jetty Road is temporarily closed for maintenance. An alternative roadside walking route is available via Governors Bay Road and Jetty Road to bypass the closure.
