The Rod Donald Banks Peninsula Trust has worked on wide and varied number of projects since it was set up in 2010. With a vision to create a thriving and enduring ecosystem of trails and regenerating landscapes on Te Pātaka o Rākaihautū Banks Peninsula it works to provide this through its three strategic pou:

• Access/ Wāhi uru: Creating an enduring network of walking and biking trails to foster deeper connections between people and place and that enable low carbon recreation.
• Biodiversity/Rerenga rauropi: Supporting the protection and regeneration of Te Pātaka o Rākaihautū by encouraging native biodiversity on a landscape scale
• Knowledge/Mātauranga: Creating stewards of Te Pātaka o Rākaihautū through knowledge of flora and fauna, geology and history.

We aim to achieve this vision through partnership with Peninsula communities, linking people and groups together and supporting their efforts and projects.
