TRACK CLOSURES:

Due to the February weather event some tracks on Banks Peninsula are unsafe and are CLOSED.

Summit Road Society: the following tracks within Ōhinetahi Reserve remain closed while remediation work takes pace: Tōtara Log Track between Ella’s Track and Bivvy Track; O’Farrell’s Track; Cass Ridge Track; Wai-iti Track; and Titoki Track between O’Farrell’s and South Boundary only. Omahu Bush, Linda Woods Reserve and all other Summit Road Society tracks are open.

Living Springs: mountain bike track remains closed. Walking tracks are open but care needs to be taken. Walking tracks should be avoided for three days after heavy rainfall so that staff can assess the safety of the tracks.

CCC: Okuti Track remains closed.

Rod Donald Banks Peninsula Trust: Faulkner Track (between Orton Bradley Park and Packhorse Hut) remains closed. Monument South Track remains closed.

Woodills North Track in Akaroa also remains closed.

THESE TRACKS ARE NOW OPEN AGAIN:

Faukners Track and North Boundary Track in Ōhinetahi Reserve are now open. Please note: this is different from Faulkner Track near the Packhorse Hut that remains closed.

All Te Ahu Pātiki tracks are now open, except Faulkner. Take care as more slippery than usual.

All tracks in Orton Bradley Park are now open. Take care as more slippery than usual.
