TRACK CLOSURES:
Due to the February weather event some tracks on Banks Peninsula are unsafe and are CLOSED:
Okuti Track, Faulkner Track between Packhorse Hut and Te Ahu Pātiki conservation park, Monument South (Kaituna Valley to Te Ara Pātaka)
Due to lambing 8 August to 15 October 2026 these tracks are also CLOSED:

Several tracks are closed for lambing from 8 August – 15 October 2025
- Diamond Harbour to Mt Herbert (Mt Herbert Walkway)
- Monument Track (North) from Purau Saddle
- Summit Link Track (short cut between summit of Little Mt Herbert and Monument North Track)
- All other Orton Bradley Tracks (19 August – 10 October)
Te Ara Pātaka will remain open during the lambing period from Gebbies Pass to Hilltop and via Orton Bradley Valley Track.
